Airport will be the first thing you'll see in Saint-Petersburg, i think. There are two separated airport terminals in Saint-Petersburg. First one - Pulkovo 1 for domestic flights and for international charter flights - this will be your destination airport if you arrive from Moscow for example, if you arriving to Russia directly from country - then you arrive to Pulkovo 2 - international terminal. If you need to transfer from international Pulkovo 2 to domestic Pulkovo 1 - you may take taxi (it will cost not less then 30$). Cheaper way is to take shared taxi (called "marshrutka" in Russian - that is minibusses with route number on front window) - it will cost about 1,5$ (1 EUR) - but be ready - it will be not easy to negotiate with a driver - most of them dont speak English. There are no tickets in "marshrutka" - you should pay directly to driver.
